Wholesale Diamonds Sydney For Retailers Or Direct Clients

Information is abundant, but this is simply technical. Until you’ve had a chance to apply this technical knowledge to literally thousands of white, coloured, black and pink argyle diamonds physically, diamond education will only mislead you.

Unfortunately misinterpretation of precious stones in the jewellery industry does sometimes occur, whether it is intentional or not. Buying diamond wedding rings or gemstones in Sydney that have already been set into a ring can hide a multitude of problems and generally, this is the most expensive way to buy your white, coloured or black stone.

Our advice to you as your personal wholesale diamond broker and Sydney industry insider is to read through the ‘technical’ information and gain a basic diamond education. It’s impossible to become an expert overnight, and this is why we work side by side with you as your unbiased industry expert.

Knowledge and Experience

Have you looked at millions of white, coloured pink argyle diamonds and black diamonds in correlation to their grading certificates? Do you have the knowledge and experience to look in between the ‘generic’ technical grading details and find the 5% of precious stones that have been cut to exacting standards to unlock the full potential of their visual beauty?

The Facts

A diamond cutter needs to serve as an apprentice for 10 years before they can even work on a 2 carat plus piece of raw diamond crystal. To say they don’t have the knowledge, technology, or experience to cut a loose diamond perfectly, is an absolute lie. Roughly 95% of the white, coloured, black and pink argyle diamonds that exist in this market-place have been designed to do one thing and one thing only, provide a better return on investment for the raw material they’ve purchased.

We have the knowledge and hands-on experience to help you find the 5% of wholesale diamonds that have been cut to do what they were designed to do. By coming into our Design Studio you will have the opportunity to view coloured, white, black and even rare pink argyle diamonds of uncompromising visual qualities and value.

Please read through the following pages to get a glimpse of what diamonds are truly about:

Raw Diamond Crystal

In mineralogy, diamond is an allotrope of carbon, where the carbon atoms are arranged in a variation of the face-centred cubic crystal structure called a diamond lattice.

Diamond Shape

One of the first decisions you will have to make is to choose a shape. Wholesale diamonds come in many different and exciting shapes.

CARAT Weight

The weight of a loose diamond is expressed in a unit of measure called Carats. The term carat originated in a natural unit of weight; the seeds of the Carob tree.

Diamond Cut

The cut of a wholesale diamond describes the manner in which it has been shaped and polished from its beginning form as a rough stone to its final gem proportions.

Diamond Clarity

Clarity is a measure of internal defects of a wholesale diamond called inclusions. Wholesale diamonds are graded by the independent laboratories on a scale ranging from flawless to imperfect.

Diamond Colour

A chemically pure and structurally perfect stone is perfectly transparent with no hue, or colour. However, in reality most gem-sized natural diamonds are imperfect.

Certification

A diamond certificate is a report created by a team of gemmologists. The stone is evaluated, measured, and scrutinised using trained eyes, a jeweller’s loupe, a microscope, and other industry tools.

Fluorescence

A form of illumination that is created when a diamond is exposed to Ultraviolet light. About a third of all diamonds will glow under ultraviolet light.

Ask the Right Questions

Marketing has done a great job in making you believe that the 4Cs (Carat, Cut, Clarity, Colour) will tell you everything you need to know to buy the perfect wholesale diamond from a Sydney broker. We would like to re-educate you. Here are some questions we would encourage you to ask when deciding on the industry professional that you would like to work with:

  • Can I view the wholesale diamond in your Sydney studio and compare it to others before making a purchasing decision?
  • What type of light am I viewing the gemstones under in your Sydney studio?
  • What certification accompanies the wholesale diamonds I’m viewing?
  • Based on what I’m looking for, can you also bring in alternate options that represent where you would look as my industry insider & wholesale diamond expert?
  • Is there a satisfaction guarantee in place to make sure I’m 100% happy with my gemstone?

If they can’t answer these questions clearly, or say “no??? to any of the above… Buyer Beware!

We will be more than happy to answer any of your questions and encourage you to challenge our knowledge as professional industry insiders. To fast track your diamond education and find your perfect stone, please contact us for more information and we’ll be happy to answer any of your questions.
